yea, I know I really should do more life drawing.. but its so boring! My stance is that if i wnted a realistic picture, Id take a damn photograpth! I like drawing more fantasy based cartoony anime stuff >< That and I just happento SUCK at life drawing

Everytime you say that, not only do a thousand scorpion fairies get their tails torn off by the "de poisonator" your skill in art goes back to about 3 years earlier. Art is not just a talent, but a skill. Drawing the same "style" for any length of time stops you from being a highly skilled artist, and completely removes any versitiliy you may ever develop.

Life drawing increases your perseption, with it improving your ability for perspective, shading, proportion and many other areas of art.

You can also make even better stylised art, as you know what to tweak to make it stylised in the manner you wish for.

but it doesn't work the other way around. Drawing stylised art does not lead to any expansion whatsoever. (unless you are using it to try out something new in familiar territory)
